Incredibly striking open frame sterling silver fossil pendant. It looks as if it's probably an Ammonite fossil, but the signature spiral impression is half-covered on the flat side. The fossil is loosely set with 3 split prong clips in a thick silver frame with woven wire accents wrapped around. The nature of the prong clips allows for subtle shifting in the setting but it is structurally sound and secure. The necklace bail is linked to a loop at the top of the pendant and is stamped 925. The silver has some tarnishing but overall the piece is in great vintage condition with expected wear.
