A beautifully set 1877-C Wilhelm Deutscher Kaiser Konig Preussen 5 mark gold coin within a 14k gold brooch. This coin was minted by the Prussian kingdom in 1877 and is 90% gold. Several of these 5 mark coins were issued in silver, but this is the only one issued in gold. There were 4 mint dates for this coin of which this one belongs to the third printing as denoted by the "c" on the bottom. The coin is in very good condition with a fully defined rim and full legends with all the lettering and numerals distinct. This is a fairly rare collectible coin within a stunning brooch design wherein it can spin freely. It would make a great addition to anyone's collection or a great statement piece. The brooch itself is in great vintage condition.
