An absolutely breathtaking 14k gold opal cluster lavaliere brooch with a pearl drop tassel and gold chain accent. The ornate art deco/nouveau multi-stone setting features 13 small iridescent opal cabochons arranged in 6-point prong settings. Unfortunately, two of the opal cabochons (bottom center and left) are missing from their settings, but the piece could potentially be restored or modified. Regardless, the rest of the opal stones remain in good condition, and the brooch is still quite spectacular overall. The back of the brooch has a 1930's style safety fastener and hidden necklace loop fit for most smaller chains.
The gold has been acid tested for authenticity and there is a 14k stamp on the back. In good vintage condition with described damage, and minor discoloration standard with age.
