This breathtaking, Tiffany ruby-eyed sparrow brooch is made of solid 14k gold and features a stunning .06 CT brilliant diamond. The sparrow is designed mid-flight from the "worms-eye view" perspective, with the underside of the belly and wings on the front side of the brooch, and the safety pin back on the top side of the sparrow. The solid gold body has been heavily chiseled/diamond-cut/etched to give an accurate feather texturing and has an incredible yellow-gold luster. The diamond is prong-set and positioned in the bird's beak, resembling the iconic symbol of a dove with an olive branch. The small red rubies have been set flush for the sparrow's eyes and have a nice rich color to them. The safety pin is made from rose-gold and has been hallmarked 'TIFFANY'. It has also been gold acid tested for authenticity.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with minimal wear or discoloration.
