An amazing Zuni needlepoint turquoise brooch pin set in solid sterling silver. Features 50 fine point turquoise stones and one round turquoise cabochon arranged in jagged bezel settings. The stones sit on a circular silver medallion with raised scallop designs and woven silver accents. The turquoise is a vibrant blue color with a natural finish that looks great against the patinaed silver.
The brooch is fixed with a horizontal safety pin and has been stamped 'Sterling' for authenticity. The back is considerably tarnished and has a natural dark gray color typically seen in old pawn jewelry, but the silver on the front remains quite lustrous. All the turquoise stones remain in their original setting with minimal damage. Overall this piece is in great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and tarnishing.
