An extraordinary Native American turquoise squash blossom necklace for an old pawn jewelry collection.
Features a 5-stone Naja crescent pendant, 10 turquoise squash blossoms, and a double strand of Navajo bench made Navajo pearls. The turquoise cabochons are bezel set with overlayed with silver leaf embellishments and silver drop accents.
The necklace has considerable weight and is secured with a small hook and loop on the end of the beaded strands for closure. There are no hallmarks or makers marks, but this is common with a lot of old pawn jewelry. The silver has a lovely gray patina with some tarnishing, and the turquoise stones remain vibrant and secure in their settings. This squash blossom necklace is an exceptional example Navajo jewelry making and in overall great vintage condition.
