A rare and factory original set of 2 signed, Alvar Aalto for Artek of Finland, Model 60 stackable stools in Birch black top. This rare and remarkably preserved set features the classic black linoleum tops and birch wood frames. The set is a true matched pair and original. This particular set displays the partial stamp of Alvar Aalto for Artek Finland under both stools (see photos). This fantastic, unique and exceedingly rare set is ready to add a formidable component to any discerning collection or home.
This set is in excellent condition overall. Notably, the original black linoleum tops are both intact and impeccably free of cracks, chips or serious damage. They do however display minor scratches, scuffs, stains and one has an impressed ring left from when a heavy item was likely placed on top of it at some point in its life. The factory original, birch wood frames on both the stools wall scuffs, minor scratches, chips and dings. The frames display no major damages like cracks, damaged screw components or other function altering issues.
