A collectible Brazilian Morpho reverse painted butterfly wing pendant necklace for a religious jewelry collection. Features a circular open frame inlaid with iridescent blue and purple butterfly wings and clear glass/plastic covers. The double-sided design boasts a Christ The Redeemer statue collaged onto one side, and a shimmering waterfront scene painted one the other.
The pendant is suspended from an undecorated bail and comes with a silver double-link cable chain with a brass tube clasp. The silver looks like more of a base metal and has a dulled gray finish similar to pewter. There are no hallmarks or maker marks. In good vintage condition with notable wear and tarnishing.
