A magnificent TAXCO 940 sterling silver festoon necklace by artisan silversmith Hector Aguilar . Features a chunky articulated strand of curled X-shaped links and silver bead embellishments. The beaded silver links are safety pin shaped with 3 spheres on each side and interlock between the other links. The necklace secures with a hidden box clasp closure and lays comfortably around the base of the neck.
The back of the clasp is hallmarked 'TAXCO 940' with the artists markers mark for authenticity. The silver has a natural gray color with some notable tarnishing, but can definitely be polished up quite nicely. Overall in good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and discoloration.
