We have extremely rare Martinelli-Luce "Ruspa" table lamp in white c. 1970's. This model of lamp was designed by Gae Aulenti for Martinelli in 1968 and features a robust futuristic design in lacquered cast metal. The lamp features a dual rotating globe shaped head that allows each side to turn up and down to change for direct and indirect lighting.


This lamp is fully functional and ready to use. Of particular note on this piece is the very unique and truly MCM design and function. A fixture like this would make a discerning addition to any home decor collection.

*AN IMPORTANT NOTE ON THIS LAMP*

We are not experts in the assessment or evaluation of electrical devices. We determined the condition of this piece to be fully functional based on the electrical operation when this lamp was plugged in and the on/off switch engaged. The switch operates properly, engaging the lamp on and off as it should when plugged in. We can not guarantee continued operation or functionality of this unit because of its age. At present, it is fully operational and therefore we are selling it as such. BULBS INCLUDED - Uses standard incandescent bulbs pictured.


Condition:

This lamp is in great shape overall. The white painted glossy finish of the lamp body itself displays scratching, scuffs and minor chips. The base and wiring are fully intact and stable. There is minor scuffing and gentle wear from age present in general on this piece. The original cord is intact and displays no signs of rips, tears or fraying. We provided a mild cleaning of this piece, however, due to its age a more thorough cleaning is recommended to remove all traces of remaining dust and debris. The original switch marked: "TICINO - MADE IN ITALY - INTERRUTTORE - 10A - 250V" remains intact and fully functional. The original plug at the end of the cord was replaced with a Chinese made, two prong, American type plug. Please look over all photos carefully and ask any questions that you may have.
