A charming Victorian 14K quartz floral filigree cameo style brooch pin with turquoise and red ruby glass accents. Features a distinct concave beveled frosted white crystal mounted in a hand-made/decorated yellow gold setting with etched prong clips. The focal point of this piece boasts an art nouveau style gold wire flower embellishment with a blue, green, and red cabochons accents.
The brooch is secured with a vertical gold pin and a late 19th century safety latch. The gold has notable portions of discoloration and the underside of the setting bears signs of warping and wear. Two of the settings prongs have also been replaced with scalloped silver clips and some soldering repair marks can be seen around settings edges. The rest of the brooches elements remain in good condition for its age. Despite its imperfections, the gestalt beauty of this piece remains.
There are no notable hallmarks or makers marks and the gold has been acid tested for authenticity. In good/fair vintage condition with described wear and discoloration.
