We have an extremely rare and unique, antique original, Louis Comfort Tiffany Studios New York Signed/Stamped Bronze and Favrile Glass Shade Model D555 Wild Carrot/Queen Anne Lace Style Candle Holder. Of particular note on this piece is the very unique and rare tall/narrow bronze body with wide/heavily patterned base and original L.C.T. Signed (see photos) favrile shade on sliding insert. This is a truly beautiful example of the museum grade rarity work from Tiffany Studios. It would make a discerning addition to any collection or home. Condition:
This candle holder is in good condition overall for its age. The original L.C.T. favrile glass shade displays no cracks or major damages. It does display several chips where the shade meets the screws for the socket holder of the body. The finish of the shade is darkened from years of use and slightly bubbled in certain areas from repeated contact with the heat of a constant burning flame. The bronze body displays areas of heavy tarnish/oxidation. The base and shaft are fully intact and stable. The shaft displays a slight bend. The attachment screws for the lamp shade are all present, intact and fully functioning, but stiff. Please look over all photos carefully and ask any questions that you may have.
