An incredibly charming Limoges France Petit Main porcelain trinket box. Features a heart-shaped box/lid with engraved brass fittings and a brass flower fastener. The hand-painted porcelain is decorated with a blue sky background and a smiling orange/red sun on the center of the lid. The motif is also carried inside the box, where a small cloud has been painted onto the inner base.

The bottom of the box is signed "Petit Main Limoges JLS-55", and the top of the inner lid has also been marked '55'. We could not find any comparables or details on the artist, but regardless, this is certainly a special and rare piece. Would make a fabulous gift for a Limoges collector or someone who appreciates vintage curios.

In great vintage condition with no notable damage to the porcelain or hardware.
