A beautifully ornate and well-preserved 1901 Elgin solid 14k gold pocket watch. Featuring a detailed yellow gold case with intricate engravings, an emblem/seal design on the front flip lid, and an engine-turned Guilloche design on the back. The dial is revealed by pressing the crown to release the front lid and has a white face with black Roman numeral indices, iridescent metal hour/minute hands, and a seconds sub-dial. The back case can also be opened via a lip on the edge and has the original owner's details engraved on one side with a second lid covering the movement. The pocket watch has been hallmarked on the inner lid and the gold has been acid tested for authenticity. There is unfortunately some dents/minor warping to both sides of the case, but nothing that affects its function or overall aesthetic.

Watchmaker's Note:
This pocket watch is an excellent collector's piece with retained functionality and decorative detail. The movement can be accessed from the back and has been inspected/tested. It should be fully serviced for optimal performance irrespective of any mechanical adjustments that may be needed.

Condition: Good vintage condition with some general wear. There is some warping/denting to both sides of the case, but functionality and overall aesthetic remain. Pocket watch has been tested and is keeping time properly.
