Why we love it: Popularized during the Qing Dynasty, these sterling silver and jade hand mirrors often featured expertly carved jade and detailed repousse silverwork. Our mirror features eight bezel-set gemstones surrounding a centerpiece of pale jade with an image of two quails carved into it. The surrounding silver features incredible repousse work, depicting several traditional iconographies. The handle itself appears to be plastic, but is flanked with a long piece of silver for stability. A truly one-of-a-kind piece.
